Calpe Chess

Gibraltar's Chess Club

MCC visit to Gibraltar, 3/4 October 2009

The MCC visit went very well. The morning tournament was a draw. The afternoon friendly games were 5/3 and 4.5/3.5 in favour of the MCC. The Calpe Chess Club played extremely well against tough opposition and without Alan Gravatt, Mario and Jim Feeney. Manolo Matto left after the morning tournament having lost his game and being in the normal rush did not tell anyone he was not coming back. All good fun though as Roger's nephew stepped in as a reserve.
